In April, Ace Moving & Storage of Oklahoma City (1406) completed Run for Lungs, a 5k benefitting the American Lung Association. Nine team members from Ace participated in the company’s first run/walk, all recognizing that lung disease hits too close to home.

“I was diagnosed with Chronic Bronchitis a few years back,” said Kasi Bickerstaff, Military Operations at Ace. “This cause is tied to us, not only because of my involvement with the American Lung Association, but a few years back we lost one of our own to lung cancer.”

As a volunteer for the American Lung Association and acting chair of the Oklahoma City Fight for Air Climb, Kasi recognizes that encouraging her co-workers to stay active is important.

“I wanted it to be a team building activity for everyone,” she said. “I am pretty active, so I’m constantly pushing everyone to get going. When it’s for a good cause, it definitely helps.”
