Over the years, we have had countless wonderful Professional Van Operators (PVOs) representing Atlas® on the road, and they each held a special place in our hearts. Greg Harvin was certainly one of them.

He was with Atlas for 30 years, from 1991 until 2021. Friends remember Greg as a very giving man with a larger-than-life personality. “When we would attend auto shows throughout the years, it was always great to have Greg there with us. Most PVOs would exit the show as soon as they were called up, but Greg would stick around just in case we needed help. He did not have to do so, but he cared for our team and his customers, and he wanted to make sure we all got the job done,” says Derek Snyder, Manager for Atlas Logistics®.

Colleagues describe Greg as everything you could ask for in a PVO— he was professional, skilled, he had a great work ethic and a fantastic personality. Often, while traveling here from his home in Michigan, he would stop and visit our Evansville team, bringing sandwiches from Big John Steak & Onion, a favorite of his.

Family was everything for Greg and he would often talk about how much he cherished every second he had to spend with them. His wife, Joyce, shared that when Greg was home from work, he was always in his Atlas gear, and the kids would tease him about it. She added that his employment with Atlas allowed for her to stay at home and take care of their children.

Greg requested an Atlas truck and trailer for his funeral, and his friends and family wore Atlas uniforms or Atlas colors to the service.
