DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion and is an important topic at work and in growing business environments across the world. Atlas® recognizes that DEI must go beyond the boundaries of traditional compliance topics and transcend into every
aspect of our day-to-day operations.

Wanting to develop meaningful goals and processes, Atlas partnered with experts at the University of Evansville’s Center for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in February 2022. A substantial part of this partnership is the continued dialogue between Atlas leadership and the University Center’s Chief Diversity Officer and Program Director for Ethics and Social Change.
“One of the most impactful ways to drive inclusion in the workplace is to ensure that we are creating room for not just our similarities but also our uniqueness. Embracing our colleagues for who they are and honoring what each of us brings to the workplace,” said Kelly Cruse, Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer for Atlas® World Group.

To better educate employees about the value of inclusivity, Atlas is focusing its energy on creating conversations about the history of marginalized groups and on sharing companywide resources that provide a solid background for DEI-centered awareness months, holidays, initiatives, and more. The company has also established Juneteenth as a company holiday and is involved in community events by sponsoring and participating in Evansville’s Pride Parade.

Atlas is committed to creating a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment allowing all associates to grow both professionally and personally. By making DEI a cornerstone of its strategic vision alongside finance, technology, and operations, the company is growing and retaining valuable talent indispensable to the company’s future.
