ATLAS WORLD GROUP, INC. EXPANDS LEGAL DEPARTMENT, NAMES AMANDA EDGE AS CORPORATE COUNSEL

Edge joins Atlas with nearly 10 years of experience in legal services
 
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Aug. 24, 2021) - Atlas World Group, Inc ., the parent company of Atlas Van Lines, Inc., one of the nation’s leading moving companies, has named Amanda Edge to the newly created position of Corporate Counsel. Prior to joining Atlas, Edge served as the assistant vice president of legal services for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
 
In this role, Edge will provide legal counsel for Atlas World Group and its subsidiaries in the context of the strategic and tactical objectives of the enterprise, while balancing the need for practical legal and business solutions. Items of focus for Edge will be wide-ranging, with an emphasis on contracts, litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance, among others.

Edge comes to Atlas Van Lines with a broad legal background, including her most recent role at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System from November 2018 to July 2021. Edge’s prior employment also includes time at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP in Louisville, Kentucky as an associate attorney, and serving as a law clerk for U.S District Judge Joseph McKinley in Owensboro, Kentucky. Graduating from the University of Louisville Law School with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree in 2012, Edge was recognized as the salutatorian of her class, along with achieving magna cum laude honors.
