ATLAS WORLD GROUP, INC. APPOINTS DAVID SMITH AS VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OF ATLAS® VAN LINES

EVANSVILLE, IND. (March 31, 2020) - Atlas ® World Group, Inc., the parent company of Atlas ® Van Lines, one of the nation’s leading moving companies, announces today that David Smith has been named Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Atlas Van Lines. Prior to his appointment at Atlas, he served for 12 years as Vice President and Senior Managing Director of Application Systems at OneMain Financial in Evansville, Indiana.
 
In his Atlas role, Smith will lead and oversee the IT functions for Atlas World Group and its ten subsidiaries, including technology capabilities, resources and assets. He will be responsible for overall strategy, execution and delivery of IT services across the enterprise to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Smith joins Atlas with a broad and extensive range of experience, having led large teams of staff and contractors, while executing several major systems integrations. While with OneMain, he was integral to transforming and modernizing the company’s multi-channel customer experience by fusing core legacy systems and advanced digital technology. Additionally, under Smith’s leadership as CIO, his former employer Card Management Corporation was named to CIO Magazine’s Top 100 list in 2007.
