ATLAS® WORLD GROUP CELEBRATES 2022 CONVENTION SUCCESSES
EVANSVILLE, IND. (December 5, 2022) — Leading moving company Atlas® World Group, hosted its 75th annual Convention November 2-4 in Marco Island, Fla. Atlas’ ten subsidiaries and its preferred suppliers, partners, and network of more than 300 Agents comes together each year to expand their knowledge, connect with industry experts, and share best practices for growth. This year’s program theme was Fortune Favors the Bold and emphasized bold business moves Agents can make to strengthen their businesses as Atlas wraps another historic year.
To better organize for a post-pandemic future, Atlas World Group Chairman and CEO, Jack Griffin, encouraged leaders to be innovative to support business growth and ensure long-term success. He challenged the Agency network to “Be Bold” in their own organizational approach and discussed the importance of revenue diversification, talent attraction and retention, strategic pricing, reinvestment, and purposeful reorganization.
Convention is also an opportunity for Atlas to show its support and appreciation for its Agent network through multiple annual award programs. In total, 107 Atlas Agents were honored with individual sales awards, as well as Atlas quality awards including its prestigious Milton M. Hill Quality Award, Specialized Transportation Group Quality Award, World-Class Commitment Award, Professional Van Operator Customer Service Award, and Certified Sustainable Agent Award.
"Our Agents are on the frontlines of our business directly impacting our customers’ lives, and it is an honor to recognize Atlas movers each year who exceed our standards for service excellence," said Jack Griffin, Chairman and CEO, Atlas World Group. "We are thrilled with the momentum our Agent network has cultivated this year and look forward to a bold 2023.”
Each year Atlas also pursues a new and timely fundraising effort, and this year Atlas and Convention attendees raised over $31,000 for the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Ian relief efforts across Florida. Convention attendees also built 600 Service for the Armed Forces Hospital Bags onsite that were shipped directly to the Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross in the Florida Gulf Coast. Bags included hospital comfort items such as toiletries and personal hygiene products.
“As communities begin to rebuild, the Red Cross is thankful for support from companies like Atlas,” said Jill Palmer, Executive Director, American Red Cross Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter. “Every donation is a step forward to help those in need regain a sense of normalcy as the Red Cross stands with them along the road to recovery.”
