PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY
Through our Sustainable Agent Certification, Atlas encourages practices that help ensure the conservation of our planet’s resources for generations to come. The program sets performance standards in five areas, developed in cooperation with Sustainable America, an expert in conservation.
Sustainable America's primary mission is to promote a more resilient and sustainable future by focusing on reducing food waste, promoting alternative transportation fuels, and reducing the environmental impact of food production, distribution, and consumption.
HELPING WARRIORS THRIVE
As a Corporate Champion, Atlas partners with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to deliver life-changing programs to over 100,000 wounded warriors, their families, and caregivers. Atlas is directly supporting the programs and services that give warriors access to mental and physical health support, employment and education assistance, and the many other services that WWP provides to its warriors, free of charge.
The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a nonprofit organization that provides services and programs for wounded veterans and service members who became injured during their military service. WWP focuses on helping service members recover and transition to civilian life successfully.
WWP offers programs for mental health, physical wellness, career development, and community engagement. The Wounded Warrior Project also advocates for the needs and rights of injured veterans, ensuring that they receive the support and resources they need. They dedicate themselves to honoring and empowering these brave individuals who have sacrificed for their country.
COMBATTING HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Atlas has partnered with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) to help motivate, equip, and empower employees and van operators to combat human trafficking. Atlas is a corporate partner and sponsor of TAT and is proud to share the organization's vision of working to interrupt trafficking networks by empowering our workforce to take action.
Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combatting human trafficking within the trucking and transportation industry. TAT works to educate truck drivers and their companies to recognize and report the signs of human trafficking.
They provide training, resources, and a hotline for reporting suspicious activities. Their mission is to help members of the trucking community contribute to the fight against these heinous crimes.
CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY
Atlas has been involved with the United Way of Southwestern Indiana for more than 20 years. Atlas participates in the annual canned food drive, the Day of Caring, and also hosts monthly events to fundraise for the organization. Atlas employees hold positions on the board of directors, like chairperson of the finance committee and treasurer of the executive committee.
The United Way of Southwestern Indiana is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the local community. They work with many businesses and individuals to address critical social issues.
Their primary focus includes education, health, and financial stability. United Way of Southwestern Indiana funds and supports programs that enhance educational opportunities, promote healthcare access and provide resources for financial stability.
