I am writing in regards to our recent move with your company. It was a corporate move within my husband’s company, New Century Financial Corporation. In eleven years of marriage this was our 7th move, although we have never used Atlas Van Lines. This was our 3rd move with New Century and previous movers have been chosen by my preference after receiving three moving estimates. After attaining three estimates for this move, New Century told us that they now had a corporate mover and that we would be using Alexander’s for our move back to Arizona. Van Operator, Joe Durrett, called before the actual start date, just to touch base and introduce himself. He explained that he was very involved with the whole process and if we had any questions, complaints, concerns about anything that he would take care of them. From the moment Joe and his crew arrived at our home in New Jersey, I could tell it would be a great move. Having dealt with numerous van operators and crews with all of our moves, it was a complete joy to have Joe and his crew in our home. Not only was he very friendly, but he was honest about his expectations, as well as ours, and also wanted input about how things should be packed, etc. He and his crew treated our home and belongings like they were their own and it was a much needed break from the stress of moving for myself. Upon completing the packing, loading, etc. he made sure that we were able to reach him if we had any questions, as well as making sure that he could reach us until the time of delivery. Upon arrival at our home in Phoenix, Joe went above and beyond what I had expected. Our entire truckload of belongings arrived in Phoenix without any damage. He and his crew worked non-stop through a grueling 112 degree day to unpack the load and then went to work unpacking boxes, taking the majority with him when he left. After cutting the crew loose after almost 12 hours, he stayed longer to help put things together and make sure that I was happy with arrangement of large furniture, etc. At every moment, Joe was courteous and thoughtful about everything regarding our move. I feel that these employees are worth recognition. They are the type of people that great companies are made of and their kindness, knowledge, and incredible customer service are exemplary of what employees in this industry should be. After experiencing that a move can almost be stress free, even half-way across the country, I would definitely not settle for anything less than what your employees/company provided for us. Thank you again for everything and I will definitely recommend Alexander’s to friends or neighbors in need of a moving company.
