To give you a firm price, a mover will need to walk through your home while you point out everything to be moved. You can also take a video survey of your home where available. This is called the in-home survey (or in-home estimate). It gives you a chance to talk with the company’s representative and get answers to your questions.

Atlas provides this in-home service in order to give you a fair and accurate price. If a mover offers you a firm price without walking through your home, take them off your list. There is an exception—with a streaming video application for your smart device, you can walk through the home in lieu of your mover. Atlas is introducing this service in November, 2016.
