Atlas is a Friend in Corporate Relocation at SHRM

7/28/2016

The election year brought the Atlas World Group family to Washington D.C. to attend the annual Society of Human Resources (SHRM) Conference and Exposition. From June 19 – 22 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, an estimated 1,800 human resources professionals spoke with Atlas representatives on topics like corporate relocation, lump sum reimbursement, and No Stranger in Your Home®, which is an Atlas initiative that sends only background checked personnel into residences.

In fact, the overarching message for Atlas at the SHRM show was to ease customers’ minds about the relocation process. To demonstrate how Atlas PVO’s and pack/load team members are friends that customers can trust with their household belongings, two life-size cardboard cutouts of crew members stood in the booth for photo opportunities, while attendees were encouraged to share their selfies with the hashtag #MyFriendsAtAtlas.

The theme of the Atlas booth also demonstrated the many solutions Atlas and its agents offer to help customers have an easier relocation. “Whether you’re hiring new talent or relocating top executives, we have what you need to go new places®” was scrolled across the booth graphics, along with facts pulled from our 49th annual Corporate Relocation Survey, a highly regarded industry survey about current relocation trends.

“This year, we wanted to drive home that whether HR professionals are bringing in fresh talent or relocating experienced, senior-level personnel, Atlas has a diverse portfolio that meets the needs of our clients,” said Atlas marketing manager and SHRM booth leader, Lauren Falls. “We realize that each relocation policy is unique, which is why we strive to stay ahead of the curve by committing resources that support quality growth among Atlas World Group companies and provide long-term value for clients.”

Research pieces like the Corporate Relocation Survey are key to remaining in-the-know about the current trends that make up companies’ mobility policies. That’s why Atlas uses tradeshows like SHRM to educate attendees on the importance of understanding industry data.

“Reporting ananalytics are more important than ever. Relocation and mobility managers want access to real-time information and reporting that incorporates data visualization elements and projection models,” said Lauren. “As we continue to push to advance our in-house technologies and provide customizable reports, like our new Vertical Benchmarking feature, we can further supply our clients with quality information that results in actionable takeaways for their relocation programs”

So for Atlas, it’s not just about moving boxes for our customers. From getting you across the globe to getting your relocation policy up to date, we’re here to help you go new places®.

Find us at the SHRM exposition next year in New Orleans to say hello to your friends at Atlas and for the latest information on relocation trends.
