In late September, southwest Indiana celebrated a year of major milestones and recognized six individuals for their commitment to regional business at the Annual Meeting and Dinner held by the Southwest Indiana Chamber. 2015 Moving Migration Patterns - Northern Exposure, Southern Charm

From January through December 2015, Atlas Van Lines in the U.S. and Canada ​performed 77,705 household goods moves between states, provinces, and across the border. In general, the mosaic pattern of migration trends shows compasses pointing south, with a few exceptions.

Fighting Hunger

Currently, Atlas is on the brink of donating 500,000 pounds of food to local food banks across the United States and Canada. Since Atlas began participating with Move For Hunger in 2012, we have provided nearly 410,000 meals to help the one in six Americans who can’t provide enough food to feed their families.

Convention Recap: Blazing New Places

Marian Weilert Sauvey, Atlas World Group General Counsel, Senior Vice President & Secretary, came to Atlas and Evansville in 1993. Earlier in her career, she worked in private practice as a partner with a firm in Kansas City, Missouri. After leaving that position, she took a year off before joining Schneider National, Inc. in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Now, after serving 22 years as the legal head at 1212 St. George Road, Marian begins another chapter on April 17. Retirement.

Atlas Elves Deliver a Very Merry Christmas

It was announced in early November that Atlas partnered with Cedar Hall to purchase Christmas gifts for kids, plus tackle a list of school-wide needs that included items like polo shirts, khakis, books, games and personal hygiene products. WWII Veterans See the Memorial Built for Them

Atlas was proud to be a part of Evansville, Indiana’s first Honor Flight on Saturday, October 25. An airplane carrying 70 World War II veterans, each accompanied by a “guardian,” took off for Washington, D.C. at 7 a.m., where the military veterans visited the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial, as well as other famous sights throughout the city.

Atlas released its latest infographic, which focuses on the costs of keeping a big rig on the road. The graphic compares vehicle versus driver costs, concluding that the percentage of vehicle expenses almost doubles that of driver expenses.

Operation: Vet Van Restoration

Atlas Van Lines recently donated its resources and services to restore a van used by the Retired Veteran’s Memorial Club based in Evansville, IN. The Veteran’s club travels throughout Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky to funeral services for retired Veterans, where they conduct rites and proper burial services at the ceremony.

Atlas is a Friend in Corporate Relocation at SHRM

In fact, the overarching message for Atlas at the SHRM show was to ease customers’ minds about the relocation process. To demonstrate how Atlas PVO’s and pack/load team members are friends that customers can trust with their household belongings, two life-size cardboard cutouts of crew members stood in the booth for photo opportunities, while attendees were encouraged to share their selfies with the hashtag #MyFriendsAtAtlas.

Sharing the Many Ways to go new places at SHRM

Alexander's Celebrates a Big Year in Nashville
