Atlas and its network of agencies celebrated BRAVO (Boosting Recognition of Atlas Van Operators) 2017 during the first week of October (4-6), an appreciation event for all the PVO’s hard work and dedication throughout the year. During the 2017 BRAVO celebration, the Annual Best of the Best contest took place, and 12 deserving Atlas Professional Van Operators were nominated.

Roy Hayford with Paxton Van Lines, Inc. (1610), won the title of 2017 Atlas Best of the Best.

“Roy started with Paxton Van Lines in 1993 as a company employee. In 2001, Roy took the next steps in becoming an Atlas Qualified Owner Operator,” said Chris Paxton, Vice President of Operations at Paxton Van Lines, Inc. (1610). “In the following years, Roy has strived to provide excellent customer service and is very deserving of this title.”

This year’s Best of the Best runner-up was Kevin Ondechek with Nelson Westerberg of Texas (1511).

“Kevin is a true professional who learned from the best (Earl Wright), and has provided award-winning customer service throughout his entire career,” said Bob Akers, Vice President and General Manager at Nelson Westerberg of Texas (1511). “We are very proud of Kevin!”

Below, Atlas Best of the Best winning agencies share how they celebrated BRAVO 2017 with their teams:

“For BRAVO this year at Paxton, we decided to provide donuts, juice and coffee for breakfast, and for lunch we went back to our traditional cook out with burgers, dogs and all the sides,” said Chris. “Our grill master, George Pugh handled the grill like a professional chef. We would like to thank all the PVOs that were able to attend our 2017 celebration.”

“At Nelson Westerberg of Texas, we look forward to BRAVO every year. It gives us the opportunity to personally thank our PVOs and crews for all the heavy lifting they do for us throughout the year,” said Bob. “We partner with our local venders to give away door prizes such as dollies, pads, uniforms and other materials. This year we provided tons of food, gave away t-shirts and free weight tickets.”

Look out for an upcoming announcement about BRAVO 2018, and remember to thank the hardworking Atlas PVOs every day for going the distance all year long!
