ATLAS WORLD GROUP, INC. APPOINTS DIANE ANDERSON AS DIRECTOR OF SAFETY FOR ATLAS VAN LINES, INC.
Anderson joins Atlas with extensive experience in safety and risk management
EVANSVILLE, IND. (August 25, 2021) - Atlas World Group, Inc., the parent company of Atlas Van Lines, Inc., one of the nation’s leading moving companies, announces today that Diane Anderson has been named Director of Safety for Atlas Van Lines. Prior to her appointment at Atlas, she served as a senior human resources and safety generalist for a concrete company and director of safety for DartX Inc. as well as spending 13 years as director of safety and compliance at Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. in St. Paul, Minnesota.
In her new role, Anderson will direct the Atlas safety management process and provide overall support and guidance to the regional, area and local transportation operations within the Atlas agent organizations. She will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing policies and procedures to promote and ensure the safety and security of the professional van operators of the Atlas Van Lines fleet.
“Diane’s breadth of experience in transportation safety and compliance will prove to be a strong asset to Atlas,” said Jeff Schimmel, Vice President of Transportation Services for Atlas Van Lines. “Safety is of the utmost importance to our organization, and I know Diane’s expertise will further propel our business practices forward. Anderson joins Atlas with a broad and extensive range of experience, having defined and implemented integrated safety and compliance programs for employees and owner operators as well as restructuring existing policies to improve safety, employee and company compliance effectively and efficiently. Anderson has an MBA from Augsburg College as well as a master’s degree in human resources management and services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Winona.
