Atlas® Van Lines Supports Injured Service Members By Becoming a Wounded Warrior Project Corporate Champion

EVANSVILLE, IND. (July 16, 2019) – Leading mover Atlas® Van Lines, Inc., has committed to supporting the nation’s wounded warriors through Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) and the nonprofit’s free programs and services. Many wounded veterans face significant challenges when they return to civilian life, and through the generous support of donors and corporate partners like Atlas, WWP is able to provide support during their recovery.

With the company’s recent financial contribution, Atlas Van Lines is directly supporting the programs and services that give warriors access to mental and physical health support, employment and education assistance, and the many other services that WWP provides to its warriors, free of charge.

“The support we receive from Atlas Van Lines gives Wounded Warrior Project the critical resources we need to serve warriors,” said Gary Corless, chief development officer at WWP. “We’re extremely grateful for their support which will help us to continue to serve this generation of wounded veterans as they recover from the visible and invisible wounds of war.”

As one of the country’s largest movers, Atlas offers approximately 2,900 professional van operators and 4,300 trucks to serve U.S. military installations. In addition to Atlas World Group International’s military moving services, there are many Atlas brand affiliates who are long-standing military partners.

"The Atlas family looks forward to helping our troops alongside such a reputable partner” said Jack Griffin, chairman and CEO of Atlas World Group. "We are proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project's mission as they continue to impact the lives of courageous veterans and military families."

Giving back is a priority that resonates through the Atlas network. The company has been recognized by the Southwest Indiana Chamber, Tri-State Better Business Bureau, United Way of Southwestern Indiana, Move for Hunger, Cartus and more for its community support and engagement.
