EVANSVILLE, Ind. — After 11 years of experience handling financial responsibilities at one of the nation's leading moving companies, Stacie Banks has been internally promoted to vice president of finance at Atlas Van Lines. Banks began her career at Atlas in 2002 as director of internal audit and tax and was promoted to senior director of corporate finance in 2009.
"Stacie has been an instrumental member of the financial team throughout her tenure at Atlas," said Rick Olson, senior vice president and CFO of Atlas Van Lines. "In her previous role, she was one of three people responsible for developing and implementing the new finance system we use today, and we look forward to the contributions she will make to Atlas as our VP of finance."
Banks will continue to lead financial reporting, corporate income tax reporting and financial analysis and will assume leadership of risk management on behalf of Atlas. Prior to Atlas, she spent six years in public accounting and private industry. Banks has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Murray State University and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
"I am looking forward to expanding my leadership role within the finance department of Atlas and assume the responsibility of leading risk management endeavors," said Banks. "In this new role, I will work closely with the rest of Atlas' leadership team to take a risk-based approach toward driving meaningful operational and financial performance improvements across the company."
