EVANSVILLE, IND. — Atlas Van Lines, one of the nation's leading moving companies, today announces its agent Ace Moving & Storage has opened a second Oklahoma City branch, Ace Commercial Movers. As part of a trusted network of nearly 500 Atlas agents throughout the United States and Canada, the new Ace Commercial Movers branch specializes in office and industrial relocations, logistics and specialty warehousing.
Most recently, the new Ace Commercial Movers branch began working alongside fellow Atlas agent Alexander's Mobility Services to orchestrate the largest commercial relocation in the history of the state. With Devon Energy's 2,300 employees and new office tower totaling more than 1.8 million square feet, Ace Commercial Movers is applying its 85 years of experience and commitment to quality services to ensure the relocation of Devon Energy is handled efficiently and with great care.
Divided into multiple phases, the Devon Energy relocation is scheduled to conclude this fall. One of the most impressive phases of the relocation involved the transportation of files equivalent to about five-and-a-half miles in length – nearly 3,000 library carts full – in 12 days.
"With the addition of this new branch, companies relocating within and to Oklahoma City will have an experienced partner that understands the unique needs of a commercial relocation and holds a reputation for exceeding expectations," said David Howell, CEO of Ace Commercial Movers. "As an Atlas Van Lines agent, our ability to coordinate a relocation with another Atlas agent removes many time-consuming tasks for the company and ensures it will receive quality service from start to finish on the project."
While the new Ace Commercial Movers branch will focus on the needs of commercial customers, the original branch, Ace Moving & Storage, will continue to operate in Oklahoma City and dedicate itself to providing moving services to residential and military customers.
"The teamwork between Ace Commercial Movers and Alexander's Mobility Services on this relocation is a prime example of how customers receive the highest quality of service as a result of the agent-to-agent support made possible with our strong nationwide network of Atlas agents," said Steve Hermann, vice president of agency development at Atlas Van Lines. "When working with an Atlas Van Lines agent, companies have a team of experienced professionals coordinating every step and detail involved in an office relocation so they can devote more time to day-to-day operational matters."
