EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Michael Spearin has joined Atlas Terminal Company, a subsidiary of Atlas Van Lines, as director of fleet maintenance. In his new position, Spearin will oversee day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance shop serving the nation's second-largest van line and its agent network.

"We're happy to welcome Mike, and with his track record of caring for and maintaining commercial and industrial vehicles throughout his career, we're confident our growing van line and our customers will be in capable hands," said Steve McBride, vice president of administration and terminal services.

Spearin has 14 years of experience in the fleet maintenance industry, most recently serving as a shop foreman for Freightliner-Western Star of Evansville. A Boston native, Spearin previously served as a garage foreman for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and also worked as a mechanic and shop foreman for Burke Distributing Corp. and as a mechanic for Colony International Truck Center.

Spearin is a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston, where he studied industrial and commercial electrical technology.
