EVANSVILLE, Ind. — On Aug. 4, Atlas World Group, Inc. awarded $12,000 in scholarship money to three college students who have ties to Atlas and its subsidiaries.

The winners of the Atlas scholarships were Erica Moore, from Newburgh, Ind.; Todd Martin, from Cynthiana, Ind.; and Sean Balogh, from Baltimore, Md.

"Atlas is proud to support students in the Atlas family like Erica, Todd and Sean," said Jim Stamm, chairman and CEO of Atlas World Group. "We're happy to help provide them and their families a bit of financial relief as they head back to school."

Moore is the daughter of Rebecca Moore, an Atlas Van Lines employee who works in Atlas' Evansville office in fleet registration. The Indiana University student received the Atlas World Group Chairman's Scholarship, which is awarded to any child of a full-time employee working at an Atlas World Group location in the U.S. or Canada. Erica is a senior majoring in international studies and aspires to work overseas for a non-governmental organization or the European Union.

The Atlas Van Lines President's Scholarship, which is awarded to a child of a full-time employee working at Atlas' headquarters, was given to Martin. Todd's mother Marcia works in accounts receivable for the company. Todd is a junior at University of Southern Indiana studying business administration and would like to own his own business – specifically, a motorcycle shop.

Balogh, the son of Timothy Balogh – a van operator with Alexander's Mobility Services in Baltimore – received the Atlas Van Lines Professional Van Operator Scholarship, which is given to a child of an Atlas-qualified van operator. Sean is a junior at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fla., studying film and television.
