EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Atlas Van Lines has recognized its top three agents in government sales with awards presented at the 60th annual Atlas Convention, held in Orlando, Fla. earlier this month.

Government Sales Award winners are:
  • Mitchell Moving and Storage Company – Seattle, Wash.
  • Alaska Terminals, Inc. – Anchorage, Alaska
  • Weleski Transfer, Inc. – Tarentum, Penn.

"One of the most important aspects of our job is to provide the government with quality transportation services," said Glen Dunkerson, president and chief operating officer of Atlas Van Lines. "They're counting on us to provide high-tech tracking systems and high-quality employees to get the job done smoothly, safely and securely. All of our agents step up to the challenge, but none more so than these award winners."

Agents qualify for this award based on government sales during the convention year, which ran July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007. For more information on Atlas' quality awards, visit
