Longtime Atlas human resources executive retiring

Walter leaves with 24 years at Atlas

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Atlas assistant vice president of human resources Patricia A. Walter is retiring January 3, 2005 after 24 years serving Atlas employees at its Evansville headquarters. Walter joined Atlas in 1980 as Manager of Personnel and was promoted to Director of Personnel the following year. In 1990, she was named to the newly created post of Assistant Vice President, Human Resources.

During her career, Patricia served as director of the Evansville Personnel Association and president of Evansville's Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She was also active in the Society for Human Resource Management, and Toastmasters International, and served on advisory committees for the University of Southern Indiana and volunteered for the United Way.

Prior to joining Atlas, Walter worked in employee and benefits administration at CrediThrift (now American General Financial Services). She is an Evansville native and attended the University of Evansville and Lockyear Business College.

Nancy Priebe

Nancy Priebe, who joined the Atlas family as director of human resources in November, replaces Walter. Priebe brings 25 years of human resources experience to the job, serving as associate director of benefits at American General Financial Services in Evansville, and manager of compensation and benefits at Sullair Corporation in Michigan City, Ind., a leading manufacturer of air compressors and vacuum systems.

Priebe is a 1995 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University in South Bend, Ind. She is a member of the Evansville-area Human Resource Association, Tri-State Business Group on Health, the Society of Human Resources (SHRM), and WorldatWork.
