Atlas' Jan Martin Retires

(Evansville, IN) - After nearly 30 with Atlas, Jan Martin, vice president, claims administration, has retired. Jan began her career at Atlas in 1968 working as a dispatcher in operations and was later promoted to supervisor of driver assignments. Then, beginning in 1973, she was away from the company for five years. In 1982, she was promoted to manager of revenue accounting where she oversaw several different areas until her promotion to director of processing/distribution I in 1992. Later, Jan earned the position of assistant vice president and then claims administration before she was promoted to vice president, claims administration in 1998.

Headquartered in Evansville, IN, Atlas is the nation's second-largest carrier of household goods with some 600 agents in the United States and Canada. Atlas specializes in corporate employee relocation and in the transport of high-value goods such as electronics, fine arts, and new fixtures and furniture.
