Atlas' Chris Compton Named Director of Safety

EVANSVILLE (Ind.) -- Atlas Van Lines' Chris Compton has been named Director of Safety for the company's Relocation Services (household goods) division and Specialized Transportation Group (STG). In this position Compton oversees compliance of Atlas drivers and agents with federal safety regulations.

An Atlas employee since January, 2000, Compton previously held the position of Manager, Transportation Services for the STG, where he was a part of the development team that implemented TMW®, a patented dispatch and communications networking program.

Compton is a native of Madisonville, Ky., and a graduate of Murray State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health. He is active in the Big Brother/Big Sister organization and other church and community activities.
