EVANSVILLE, (Ind.) -- Forty-nine Atlas Van Lines agents this year have earned the Atlas World Class Commitment Award, an excellence award based on 12 strict quality criteria. The 12 criteria evaluate performance in categories that closely impact customer service such as estimating accuracy, claims experience, and customer satisfaction.
"Under the World Class Commitment program, Atlas agents build higher quality and performance levels through training and inspections," explains Dave Daniels, Atlas director of quality development. "Our goal in this program is total customer satisfaction, and Atlas takes a narrow path toward achieving that goal."
The World Class Commitment program was established in 1996 in honor of the late Milt Hill of Alexander's Moving & Storage, an agent of Atlas Van Lines. Hill, a member of the Atlas Board of Directors, was the driving force behind the corporate quality program called "Atlas World Class Commitment." The program was developed for Alexander's agencies then instituted throughout the Atlas family of agents.
"Agents who earn the World Class Commitment Award have demonstrated a dedication to service and customer satisfaction that is well above average," states Atlas president and COO Jim Stamm. "Their standards set them apart from the average carrier."
