ISO 9002 Certification Awarded To Atlas Van Lines International

EVANSVILLE, (Ind.) - Atlas Van Lines International attained ISO 9002 certification of its Quality System effective May 2000. The ISO 9002 standard provides a framework for creating and implementing a policy, commitment and plan for the achievement of quality in order to meet customer expectations. Certification is awarded by AFAQ, an official registrar for the ISO 9000 series of internationally recognized standards. The award covers the entire international operation of Atlas Van Lines International, which is based in Seattle, Washington.

The ISO 9000 series of standards was established in 1987 by the International Organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. The AFAQ certificate is awarded only after rigorous analysis of the company's quality system in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.
