Atlas World Group Names Scavuzzo Senior V.P., Agent Services and Development

EVANSVILLE, (Ind.) - Mike Scavuzzo, a nineteen-year veteran of Atlas Van Lines, has been named to the position of senior vice president, agency and services development for Atlas World Group (AWG), the holding company for Atlas Van Lines, its seven subsidiaries, and Red Ball Corporation. Scavuzzo joined Atlas Van Lines in 1980 as an assistant vice president in corporate training.

In his new position, Scavuzzo will oversee agency development for Atlas Van Lines and American Red Ball Transit as well as agency services for Atlas Van Lines. Now the country's third-largest transporter of household goods, Atlas Van Lines has some 600 agents across the U.S. and Canada, and nearly 800 worldwide.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Scavuzzo graduated from La Salle University in Philadelphia with a bachelor of arts degree. He is a member of the Evansville Morning Rotary and the Italian American Social Club. Scavuzzo has worked in the moving industry for 29 years.

With its world headquarters in Evansville, Ind., Atlas Van Lines is the fastest-growing van line in the nation, specializing in the transport of household goods and special products, office relocations and corporate relocations. The company last year celebrated its 50th anniversary.
