Atlas Van Lines Designates Dunkerson Vice President

EVANSVILLE, (Ind.) - Glen Dunkerson has been named vice president, operations, special transportation division at Atlas Van Lines.

Prior to his new assignment, Dunkerson was vice president, claims administration, where he managed customer service, claims administration, and quality initiatives for Atlas. The Evansville, Indiana native joined Atlas in 1978. In 1987 he became director of central operations, and in 1989 was promoted to assistant vice president of the household goods division.

From 1975 to 1976, Dunkerson served as a police officer with the Mayfield Police Department in Mayfield, Kentucky. In addition, he was employed as a loan officer with Lockridge & Ridgefield in Mayfield during 1975 and 1976.

Dunkerson is a past president of the Claims Prevention and Procedure Council, Inc. and a graduate of the University of Michigan Strategic Quality Management Program. With world headquarters in Evansville, Ind., Atlas Van Lines is a major transporter of household goods and special products through some 600 agents across the U.S. and Canada, and over 800 worldwide.
