Paxton Cares

Oct 28, 2014

As the official moving partner of the Charlotte Bobcats, Paxton Van Lines (1614) was happy to help when the Bobcats called on them to move over 10,000 military care kits to Operation Gratitude in California.

The Bobcats and 400 volunteers packed Time Warner Cable Arena in March of 2014 to assemble the care kits and prepare them to ship. Over 140,000 items like toothbrushes, soap, deodorant and powdered sports drinks were packaged up with notes from Bobcats players, coaches, and fans.

When the packing was done, Paxton picked up all the boxes and drove them from coast to coast, from Charlotte, NC to Encino, CA. Operation Gratitude shipped the care kits to their final destinations, reaching soldiers in Afghanistan and the Middle East, and ships in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean.
