EVANSVILLE, Ind (November 14, 2014) — Leading mover Atlas Van Lines recognized five Specialized Transportation Group (STG) agents as recipients of the 2014 Specialized Transportation Group Quality Award. Relocating high-price or unique items can present its challenges, but these agents continually demonstrate unfailing sensitivity and creativity while implementing moving strategies that successfully ship products such as fine art, musical instruments, electronics, trade shows and store fixtures.

Atlas' Specialized Transportation Group Quality Award recognizes what it takes to shine in this uniquely demanding sector of the transportation industry. Among the criteria, agents must:

  • Do business as a full-service agency, meeting or exceeding eight of the quality standards of the Atlas World-Class Commitment;
  • Earn a facility rating of 5.0;
  • Have operated as an Atlas agent for a full convention year; and
  • Achieve combined booker and hauler revenue of at least $1,000,000 in Specialized Transportation business.

"This is the highest honor given to STG agents, which translates to the quality of servicemen we are amongst," said chairman and CEO of Atlas World Group, Glen Dunkerson. "Our entire staff is delighted to work with such agents who can not only maintain our high safety and equipment standards, but also preserve the upmost superiority of agency excellence."
